Welcome
The Institute for Leadership is a highly professional, interactive two-day event that enhances the way participants think about and approach leadership. Participants absorb new insight about their “being a leader” and it being essential to the maintaining of high ethical values. Created in El Paso, Texas by Rotarians, each an experienced trainer, the IFL has been attended by hundreds of people from around the world. These participants enthusiastically endorse the Institute to others in hopes that they also can cultivate and better understand their own leadership skills and teambuilding while infusing Rotary values with personal growth concepts.
MISSION To provide Rotarians and valued guests a leadership program that will enhance their personal growth and further develop their leadership skills to better serve and benefit their communities, their families and their business endeavors. GOAL To create, develop, and deliver a unique leadership training model that inspires and awakens greater passion for leading and serving so that the Rotary motto “Service Above Self” comes alive in every participant. EVENTS - 2011 The Institute for Leadership was presented to the Rotary International Board of Directors in La Jolla California on January 14-15, 2011. Both Directors and Spouses enjoyed being able to meet and become a working team that will lead Rotary for the year 2011-12. Members and spouses from twelve countries all became new best friends as well as inspired teammates. INSTITUTE EXPANDS The IFL continues to expand to other districts and states. On April 21st and 22nd, District 5470 will have their first event. Facilitators, John Colman, Jim Maxon and Sonny Brown will join DGN Wally Miller as he hosts the first ever Institute for Leadership in his District. Wally advises that the full complement of participants have signed on and he has started a waiting list. Fully trained teams of IFL trainers are available to assist in delivering this unique personal leadership development program. Districts in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas are moving strongly forward. Any Rotary Club or District or other community based organizations interested in participating in an "Institute" or developing an IFL Training Teams should contact Sonny Brown for more information about how to get started.
